CLY (High School Youth)

Up-coming events: “PSST” (Phenomenal Students Studying Truth) meets Tuesday, June 30th at the Helge’s house 7:00pm, 10505 Arvilla Ave NE. The bulletin for today was printed last Tuesday before we had a chance to decide our theme so if you missed “PSST” last Tuesday be sure to find out the theme. Keep bringing friends.

WELCOME to our newest member: Collin Matthew Karl, baptized last Sunday at the 11 a.m. service. Collin is the infant son of Julie and Jeremiah Karl, born on May 17th. We welcome him to our family here at Christ Lutheran.

FOUND is an opportunity for young adults to gather for enhanced worship through prayer, scripture, and singing, active service through outreach missions, and supportive fellowship by strengthening and encouraging each other.

PRAYER UPDATE
We are grateful for the prayers offered for Kacie Dragan and her health concerns. The medication is working at its lowest dose and is keeping her symptoms under control with manageable side effects. Thank you for keeping her in your prayers and continuing to do so. God has answered our prayers. Thank you, The Bob Dragan family

PRAYER REQUEST
Please pray for Adrien Kate Gray and Jeremy Kranz who will be united in holy Matrimony at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Adrien is the god-daughter of James and Kelly Gruetzner.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL
The Preschool/ Kindergarten class will continue to meet in the Kindergarten classroom. The 1st-5th grades will meet in the 4th grade classroom in the school. There will be no opening in the school library during the summer months. Please go straight to your classroom at 9:45 a.m.

RED CROSS BABYSITTING CLASSES
These classes will be held at Christ Lutheran on July 12th and 19th from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more details and registration information, please contact the Red Cross at 232-9120.

POTATO CHIP CANS & LIDS NEEDED
Blue Star Mothers are sending another shipment to service men and women and desperately need over 100 cans with lids in the next few weeks. If you have questions, contact D’Lorah Gothard. Please bring cans to the narthex box.

When: Now, Duties: Oversee the Congregation’s Finances, Provide Assessments & Forecasts, Implement New Policies and Procedures. (This position is not a bookkeeper. The congregation has a paid bookkeeper that pays the bills, writes the checks, & keeps the financial records.)

HELP NEEDED – YOU CAN HELP
WE NEED YOU! We are looking for ushers to help on Sundays at the 11 a.m. service. The duties involve handing out service folders, bulletins and helping people when they have questions. The rewards are big smiles and knowing you are serving our Lord. Let Doug Bickel know if you are willing to help.

Member Needs Ride

Seeking Your Junk and Clutter
Jenni Dragan is collecting any cast offs, junk, and clutter you may want to get rid of and she will pick it up from you at your convenience. J She and another student-volunteer are conducting a Garage Sale in July to raise funds to offset some of the cost of a Volunteer Veterinary Mission to Nicaragua in Dec. this year. If you are interested in donating please contact Jenni at 821-7394 and leave a message, or speak to her or her parents, Bob and Sue Dragan, at church. THANK YOU!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
God’s Always Doing Great, Exciting Things at Gadget’s Garage. Join us on July 20th-24th from 9:00-12:00. Kids ages 4 through completion of 5th grade meet friends, explore Bible stories, do fun activities, song great songs, make crafts, play games, and eat snacks. Bible Study Announcements

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
The Sunday morning Women's Bible Study class is studying 2nd Corinthians. Please come and join us. We meet in the 8th grade classroom. Women of all ages are welcome. For more information see Debbie Yocky.

A NEW BIBLE STUDY
a Bible study on the Revelation of Jesus Christ as given to St. John the Apostle (Revelations) during the Sunday Bible Growth time. Pastor Groeling will teach this often confusing book with a fresh understanding and perspective, bringing alive an under-standing of how God’s Grace works in a troubled time. If you have questions about this class, please speak to Pastor. The class will meet in the main room of the Parish Hall, starting at 9:45 a.m.

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDY
We will be using "Searching the Scripture" from past Lutheran Witness publications. If you are interested in trying out this small group Bible study, now would be the time to do so. Each session will be a complete topic with no carryover to the next meeting. Give it a try. We meet every other Thursday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Koschmann's. We end with dessert and fellowship from 8:30 - 9:00. Contact Al Koschmann if you are interested..

LIFELIGHT BIBLE STUDY
Lifelight has started a new study on the Book of Isaiah. Come join us as we learn about God’s mighty seer, Isaiah, as he prophesies God’s judgment on the people of Israel (and many of its neighbors) and words of comfort and promise for Israel and all people who will be gathered together on God’s holy mountain. The class meets in the East Classroom of the Parish Hall, Sunday’s at 9:45 am. Visitors are always welcome. Contact Phil Pelzman if you have any questions.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Please join us on Tuesdays at 6:00AM in the church narthex. We are starting a new study, the Book of Hebrews. The theme of the study is, "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.: How's your race going? This study encourages us to run the race of life triumphantly with Jesus Christ.

THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS
NEW BIBLE STUDY – Dr. Erich Helge leads a Bible study on I Kings at 9:30 a.m. in the narthex.
