FELLOWSHIP MEAL - 2/8/12
The Fellowship Meal on Wed., Feb. 8 at 5:45 p.m. in the parish hall is hosted by the Albuquerque Rescue Mission Learning Center. For the free will door offering, they are asking you to bring new or gently used mouse pads, small thumb/flash drives (256 MB-1GB) or cash donations for their learning center. Come for good food, fellowship and support this way to help out a very deserving local charity.
SUPER BOWL PIZZA PARTY
Pizzas can be picked up TODAY in the parish hall after each service. Thanks for helping the Youth go to District and National Gatherings & Youth Quakes.
START WORKING ON YOUR TALENTS
Our 28th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Talent Show is right around the corner on Sunday February 12th. Can you sing? Play an instrument? Dance? Tell a good joke or two? Or have some crazy bizarre talent we just don’t know about? Time to start practicing – it will be here before you know it!!!
SPRING WORK DAY - 2/18/12
There will be a work day on Saturday, February 18th from 9 a.m. to Noon to clean up our landscaping around the campus. Bring your rake and gloves as we will trim shrubs and bushes. If you have a wheelbarrow you can bring, please bring that along also. Contact Phil Pelzman if you have any questions. Thank you.
LWML MITES
LWML Mites are not just for women anymore! Would you like to help support the mission grants of the Rocky Mountain District? If so, please add your mites (money or checks of any amount) to the mite box in the narthex. Look on the display next to the mite box for a list of current grants. Thanks for your support!
THRIVENT CHALLENGE GRANT COMPLETED
Thank you to the many friends of Christ Lutheran who helped reach $10,000 in donations by January 31st. We met that deadline! Soon Thrivent will send us the matching $10,000 to help our food pantry and Good Shepherd Assistance Fund to help those less fortunate in our community.

Up-coming events: TONIGHT 4:00-?? Super Bowl party/continue planning the 28th Annual Chili Cook-off/Talent Show, meet at the Helge’s house 10505 Arvilla Ave NE, bring food to munch during the game, adult helpers: Pelzmans; 12th - arrive at church by 4:00pm to set up for the 28th Annual Chili Cook-off/Talent Show – bring a package of tortillas and a dessert, 5:15pm chili pot arrive; 5:30pm judging begins; 19th - 5:00pm begins our Narnia movie marathon, meet in youth room, bring movie snacks to share and comfy pillows/seating (since we’re in-between seating arrangements); 26th - 12:30-4:30pm Watermelon Ranch tour/service project, meet at church at 12:30, wear old clothes including old shoes (no sandals); 27th Monday - 5:00-8:00pm Spirit Night at Chick-filet-a on Paseo del Norte, tell your friends to eat there that evening to support the youth group! We’ll receive 15% of their receipt total! Good food with good friend, an excellent combination!

What is this program?
Would you like to help Christ Lutheran while you make your regular purchases? We will be selling gift cards from many local retailers. You will receive the same face value on the gift card as if you purchased it from the store. The difference is that Christ Lutheran will purchase the cards through a vendor and will receive between 2% and 23% profit. These funds will enrich technology around our campus.
ORDER INFO.: You may still order with a form and receive gift cards from a choice of hundreds of retailers. Just place your completed order form in the purple box on the counter in the narthex. Orders will be placed with the company and will be available at church the following Sunday morning.

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS
LIFELIGHT BIBLE STUDY
The Subject is Law and Gospel. Utilize your Sunday mornings in an engaging class with other fellow Christians. We meet in the room adjacent to the main Parish Hall (the East Room).
YOUNG ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
Young Adult Bible Study is currently meeting is the School Media Center.
NEW MEMBER & ADULT INFORMATION CLASS
It is not too late to join the NEW MEMBER & ADULT INFORMATION CLASS at 9:45 a.m. in the 7th grade classroom in the school.
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Max Lucado’s “Come Thirsty” is the title for the new Bible study for the Sunday morning Women’s group. Please join them in the 8th grade classroom if you’d like to be part of this new study. Contact Debbie Yocky if you have questions.
